CIBSE Young Engineers Network (YEN) Yorkshire Branch Welcome to the webpages of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers Yorkshire Region, Young Engineers Section. As part of our ongoing commitment to the promotion of the building services industry to Young Engineers throughout Yorkshire, the present Young Engineers Committee have undertaken the task of providing a new, revised website which will act as a focal point for Young Building Services Engineers in the region. CIBSE Young Engineers Network (YEN) is a national network made up of young engineers in the developmental stages of their careers. The national CIBSE YEN is made up of a number of different regional centres throughout the country. The YEN also has a number of overseas centres. The main aims of the CIBSE YEN centre are as follows: • To provide a forum and support network for young engineers within CIBSE • To provide a platform for new thinking, novel approaches to design and knowledge exchange • To ensure that young engineers engage more closely with CIBSE at an early stage in their careers • To encourage more women to join the building services profession • To promote building services engineering to school and university students • To guide young engineers towards long term careers in building services The Young Engineers Network is an excellent way to promote and increase the awareness of CIBSE in Yorkshire whilst encouraging the young engineers in our region to come together to exchange knowledge and continue learning.
